What Triathletes Will LOSE in 5 Years’ Time

A lot of fuss is made about GAINS for triathletes, but I predict that in the next 5 years triathletes will LOSE something and gain something HUGE out of it.

What’s my prediction?

I predict that in the next 5 years, triathletes will NOT see…

Foam rollers.

It’s no secret that I’m not a fan (although I used to teach workshops on how to use them properly a few years ago).

And I have given MANY reasons for this before. Here’s just 10 I came up with off the top of my head.

Perhaps my biggest issue is that using a foam roller is only PART of the solution.

People think that if they spend 30 minutes rolling around, smashing their joints into submission, that they’ll somehow magic up better movement. And they might. A tiny bit.

There’s a few different things that need to happen in order to create lasting change in the body, and the scientists have made it a four step process:

  1. Release the fascia (foam roll)
  2. Stretch the short muscles
  3. Strengthen the “weak” muscles
  4. Integrate the new lengths into a whole body movement

But seriously, who’s got time for that?

That’s why we never get past the first stage and that’s the biggest reason, in my opinion, that foam rollers aren’t very successful.

This video demonstrates this whole process and how you can roll ALL of it into ONE simple movement.

Why do I predict that foam rollers will disappear?

Because not only do I a much quicker way of improving mobility, but I also have a secret weapon:

SMARTT™ Coaches who know how to weave this simple mobility into every single warm up and cool down in every single session you attend.

The very first Certified SMARTT™ Coaches in the WORLD will be revealed very soon, and let me tell you – these guys are the BEST.

Why?

It doesn’t take a genius to add a bit of movement to a stretch.

But it takes expert knowledge to be able to bring you the very BEST mobility in any given session.

Mobility in the wrong hands can be a dangerous thing – causing more harm than good, and I want to make sure that each and every coach I recommend has both the skills and the knowledge to deliver safe and effective mobility practices to a VERY high standard.
