The great Maya Angelou once said

“people will forget what you said, they’ll forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel”

And that’s more important than ever when it comes to sports and fitness coaching, because it’s the difference we make to an exercise session.

Anyone can pull a training plan off t’interwebs and follow it, but you just can’t beat the social contact with another human being… whether it’s in-person, over Zoom, or even at the end of an email!.

So, here’s a quick tip you need to know if you want to help your participants feel great.

The big takeaway of this tip is: Don’t Wait Until The End Of The Session.

Most coaches think that getting people sweating is the only way to make them feel great, but getting people smiling at the start of your sessions helps them engage more closely with you and your session, which equals MUCH better results.

Bottom Line: if your participants are distracted by a low mood, you’re operating at a huge disadvantage.

Don’t neglect this because helping people feel great right at the start of the session will amplify how good they feel by the end.

How many ways can you think of to have a bit of fun or make them smile at the start of the session?
